Seems like those notch trend is gone now. OEMs are likely to be more attracted towards full bezel less display now. Earlier, OEMs launched pop-up camera, sliding camera, rotating camera for removing that ugly notch trend which was started by Essential Phone.

Oppo earlier showcased the under-display selfie camera at MWC Shanghai. Now another patent which is filed by Huawei came across with under-display selfie camera technology.

Huawei shows more than a dozen different solutions for different scenarios. Like the one in-home screen, another one shows how the camera will work actual camera mode(as pictured with AI Mode). There can also appear info about you dialing when you get out of the Caller app.

Oppo showcased the position of the camera in the middle of the screen but hereby we can see that the position of the camera in Huawei’s patent is in the left corner of the screen which is actually the more relevant position.

Well this an only a patent which shows the basic overview of the feature, here’s no guarantee that any of the mentioned features will ever be translated to reality.
