Realme promised to update its smartphones within the first half of 2019 and it looks like it’s trying to keep up with the tight schedule. Now, it seems like Realme 2 Pro owners might soon get the stable Android Pie OS. The budget smartphone has now been spotted on Geekbench, running the latest Android 9 Pie operating system.
Going by the benchmark listing on Geekbench, a smartphone with the model number RMX1801 has been listed with Android 9 Pie. This is believed to be the Realme 2 Pro and it is has managed to score 1453 points and 5483 points in the single-core test and multi-core tests respectively. Given that the Realme 2 Pro units are yet to receive the stable Pie update, we can expect that the rollout of the same could be imminent. Once the stable version of the update is ready, we can expect Realme to come up with an official confirmation regarding the same.
The GeekBench database lists a device with Snapdragon 660, 4GB of RAM and Android 9.0 Pie. It’s easy to assume that this is the Realme 2 Pro since its software build numbers start with RMX. Furthermore, it’s the only Realme smartphone rocking the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660.
Realme 2 Pro specifications
To recall some of the specifications of the Realme 2 Pro, the dual-SIM smartphone sports a 6.3-inch full-HD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Snapdragon 660 SoC, paired with 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM options. It has a 16-megapixel sensor on the back and a 2-megapixel secondary depth sensor. There is a 16-megapixel sensor at the front for selfies. The Realme 2 Pro is equipped with 64GB and 128GB inbuilt storage options, both of which are expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB). Also, it packs a 3,500mAh battery.
